If you look at business from the outside, it is not difficult to notice that the same laws of development apply in it, according to which nature, society or family live. In business, the role of a leader who is able to lead others to the intended goal is also important. But who is the leader? What qualities should he have?

 Are leadership skills a natural gift or can they be developed? Probably, many of you have thought about these questions, as well as about the reasons for the development of a harmonious or conflict situation in teams. Reflecting on these questions, Kseniia Valieva, coach and business trainer, at first glance, does not report anything extraordinary. However, her opinion helps to put everything in its place and to develop a clear algorithm for developing one’s leadership qualities.

Development is impossible without a leader

 – Any complex system functions according to clearly defined laws, Kseniia Valieva reminds. – Different parts of it always perform their specific tasks. This can be seen on the example of an ordinary cell, as well as on the example of the human body. Why do the kidneys never claim the liver? And because each organ is busy with “its own business”, but at the same time there is always a brain that controls everything.

 The same law of nature operates in different communities. Someone to perform specific functions, someone to manage. Therefore, there is always a leader in the pack, there should be a leader in a family, a president in a state, a director in an enterprise. But is the person sitting in the executive chair always really the leader, and what is the role of a leader in business?

 – Their role is the same as in any other system, – Kseniia explains. – They must organize the process and lead the rest to the intended goal. The problem is that not every manager is a full–fledged leader. And in such a situation, not only the company, but also any other system cannot develop.

 Perhaps, without a real leader, the company will live a year or two in peace and contentment. However, sooner or later the moment will come when it will face new challenges, it is necessary to overcome another crisis or urgently master new technologies, enter new markets, etc. If there is no one to lead this process, most likely, the enterprise will find itself on the sidelines. You can find many such examples. In rapidly changing conditions, some collectives could not change the old paradigms of behavior. As a result, the profitability of companies has significantly decreased. And all they can do is wax nostalgic about the good old days when things were good. And all because they continued to move along the rutted track. In order to switch to a different, more modern way, it was necessary that someone lead this process. If such a person was not found in time, the necessary changes did not take place.
